Collapsible Gates
Collapsible Gates & Grilles
They are a great security solution for all different kinds of applications and have become a very popular option over the last decade, especially for residential property owners.
They are aesthetically pleasing as well as a high security option. There are many different options and designs to choose from.
Before having your retractable grilles installed you should decide if you want them to close and meet in the middle?

Opening choices
This option means that the grilles will slide close to meet in the middle and then retract open to either side of the window and bunch up to about 10% of the original size either side. You can then normally hide them behind curtains so they can’t be seen. The other option is to have them slide all they way open and to stack up on one side only. This is especially a good option when having the sliding grilles face fixed for door openings.
Face fixed or reveal fixed
To have your metal collapsible window grilles faced fix means that they will be fixed on to the face of the wall and not into the window reveal. This option is sometimes preferred if the window reveal is made from timber or they want the window grilles to fully retract out of sight of the windows. Reveal fixed means they are fixed within the reveal of the window surround and when they slide open a small amount of the grilles are visible in the window surround. Both options offer high security and have different benefits depending on the area.
Locking options
X gates, retractable window grilles or gates can be fitted with a few different locking options. They come as standard fitted with one push lock in the middle of your metal collapsible gate or collapsible window grille, if you want, they can have an extra lock fitted to each window grille or door gate so that they have two fitted instead of one. The higher security option is to have hook locks fitted to your window grilles or gates, once again you can choose to have one or two fitted. One standard push lock will be included in the price, to have two or hook locks will cost extra.
Lift up swing round or lift out bottom tracks
If you are choosing to have your collapsible gate fitted in a door entrance, you might not want to have a trip hazard if this entrance is used regularly. If this is the case you have two options, you have the bottom track to lift up and pivot out of the way and clip against the side or to have it so it can be removed completely by pulling it out. These options are also very handy if you have a collapsible security grille fitted on top of a bar or a work top area. Both of these options are not standard and will cost extra, feel free to contact us for more info.
Swivel aside stacks
Swivel aside stacks are very useful when you want the complete security grilles that stack up to the side to swivel out of the way completely. You will then have an opening that is free from any obstructions, allowing complete use of your window or door ways. This option can be used for both single stacks that slide to one side and double stacks that meet in the middle. All options can be used in conjunction with other options. This option is not standard and will cost you extra, it does not effect the security of your grilles.
