These types of grilles are used on residential properties, commercial properties and industrial properties for both windows and other openings that don’t require access.
Fitting options
You can have your fixed window grilles installed internally or externally, face fixed or reveal fixed. If you would like the highest security option possible then we would advise you to have you window bar grilles fitted internally. This would mean a thief would have to break your windows before they could try and tamper with the window bars. Now you need to choose if you want to have your metal window grilles face fixed or reveal fixed. Reveal fixed means they will be fitted inside the reveal of your window and face fixed means they will be surface mounted on to the face of your wall.
Fixed window grilles construction
All of our window grilles are a made from solid steel bars which are welded together. They can be made from 12mm, 16mm or 20mm solid steel vertical or horizontal bars, the tie bars are made from 10mm which are welded at regular intervals to prevent bending. You can choose to have your bars made from round solid steel bars or square solid steel bars. All of our external window grilles are made from galvanised steel which is then powder coated to a colour of your choice from a RAL chart which has many options to choose from, this will prevent the metal work from rusting.
Frame options and extras
You can choose the way the frame is designed to suit you personal fitting requirements or simply for the design you believe best suits your property. There are three frame options to choose from, flat bar, angle or box section. Each offers different fitting options, call us for guidance on which option will suit your specific needs. You can also choose to have your window grilles hinged/lockable, this means your window grilles can swing open or lift up off of hooks and then locked once they are in the closed position. This option is great for emergency exits.
Design options
There many different design options to choose from, you might want a nice, sleek modern look or an old vintage antique look. The design you choose will depend mostly on the type of building you are having security window grilles installed on. The price of your security grilles will change depending on how fancy you choose to have your metal, the more decorative your design is, the more expensive it will become. A more decorative design with fancy patterns will take our welders longer to design and this is why the price will increase.
